• Definition of population, demography, population density, fertility rate and migration (immigrants and emigrants).
• Factors that affect population: natural and other types. 
• Representing population: line graph, pie chart, pyramid graph, bar chart. 
• Population groups: gender (female and male), age, ethnic groups, religion.
• Spain population: What is the population of Spain? Is the population density high or low? In which places is there a higher population density? What is the fertility rate? What is the reason for the decrease of immigrants?
• Europe population: What is the population of Europe? In which countries are there the highest and the lowest population densities?What is the fertility rate?

Inventos para un planeta más sostenible

Muchos de vosotros habéis buscado información acerca de iniciativa para mejorar la sostenibilidad de nuestro mundo. Son todas muy interesantes, las compartimos para que podáis conocer los detalles.

1. Bioo, el sistema que aprovecha la energía que producen las plantas al realizar la fotosíntesis para, por ejemplo, recargar un móvil. Es una iniciativa de tres jóvenes emprendedores españoles. Escucha bien lo que cuentan porque desvelan muchas claves del éxito emprendedor. También estuvieron en South Summit :) !!

2. Oleo Sponge : la esponja reutilizable que recoge derrames de petróleo 
3. Bolsas ecológicas hechas con tallos del bananos
4. Varios inventos tecnológicos para salvar el planeta

7. Y para terminar, una máquina que parecía muy ecológica pero no lo era. Permite convertir plásticos en combustible pero requiere más energía que la que recupera y además en el proceso se liberan moléculas altamente contaminantes.

• Writing a report: Write a report in past simple about a school trip, a trip or a visit to a special place using first, finally, after that, then, before.

Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible

El lunes, en la sesión de Créate, en uno de los grupos salió el tema de cómo conseguir que todo el mundo se implicara en el cuidado del planeta, el reciclaje, el ahorro energético... Así que hablamos de los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible marcados por la ONU y que se quieren alcanzar en 2030 con la colaboración de todos. En este vídeo os explican el plan. Seguro que vosotros también podéis contribuir con vuestras ideas y acciones.

Talleres de sensibilización para la igualdad entre niñas y niños

Durante estos talleres hemos hablado de la desigualdad que ha existido y que existe entre los hombres y las mujeres. Principalmente hemos observado la invisibilidad que se le da a los logros de mujeres inventoras, deportistas y científicas. También hemos aprendido lo importante que es valorarnos a nosotros mismos y apreciar nuestras virtudes. 

Comenzamos la fase de observación de CRÉATE

Esta semana hemos comenzado la fase de observación antes de diseñar nuestros proyectos. Para ello hemos hecho una pequeña salida por el entorno de Tres Cantos. Hemos observado todo tipo de cosas, tanto buenas como malas. Pero esto sólo es el comienzo toca explorar y tomar notas en otros lugares a los que vayamos en familia o en las noticias que veamos por la televisión o en periódicos. ¡Estamos hechos unos exploradores!

History

Next week we will start with history in the Social Science class. We are going to learn about prehistory and ancient history. Instead of a text we will have to learn through games, presentations and homework.

Science classes

Last weeks we studied science in a different way! We were tired of memorizing so we decided to go to the playground. We played a game in order to understand how atoms and molecules work. 

We also practised our geologist skills in the lab. We analized the different properties of some minerals.
